If you have questions about data protection, you can reach us at this address or by email with the subject "Data protection".
2. Visiting the website
When you visit the website, the server processes technically necessary data: IP address, date and time, requested address, amount of data transferred, browser and operating system. This is necessary to deliver the website and protect it against misuse (Art. 6 (1) (f) GDPR). The data is only stored for as long as necessary for secure operation.
The website runs on servers that we operate ourselves or through service providers acting as processors under Art. 28 GDPR. We serve fonts ourselves; no content is loaded from Google or other third parties.
3. Storage in your browser
We do not use cookies or similar technologies for analytics, advertising or tracking. Only information needed for functions you request is stored in your browser (Section 25 (2) No. 2 TDDDG):
- Your choice of market and language (cookie "simon-loc", 12 months).
- Information you entered in forms (email, name, company, role, industry, time of your consents), so you do not have to enter it again. It is stored only in your browser (localStorage) and can be deleted there at any time.
4. Forms
Our forms work in two steps. In the first step, you enter your email address and consent to being contacted. When you click "Next", we store your email address, your consent with time and wording, the form type, the page visited, and market and language. If you cancel afterwards, this request remains stored so we can contact you about your request. In the second step, you add the remaining information.
- Prototype access, documents and white papers: name, company, role. Purpose: sending the access or document and contacting you about your interest.
- Webinar registration: name, company, role. Purpose: holding the webinar and sending the date and access link.
- Demo and pilot: name, company, industry, team size (optional) and your preferred dates or the chosen appointment. Purpose: arranging and holding the appointment.
- Contact: name, message, company and industry (optional). Purpose: handling your request.
- Support: description of the issue, customer number (optional). Purpose: handling the ticket.
The legal basis is your consent (Art. 6 (1) (a) GDPR) and, where you request an appointment, access or an offer, the performance of pre-contractual measures (Art. 6 (1) (b) GDPR). To protect against misuse, we also store a non-reversible hash value of your IP address (Art. 6 (1) (f) GDPR).
For prototypes, documents, webinars and demos we ask for a business email address because the offer is aimed at companies.
You will receive a confirmation by email. Our sales or support team is informed of your request by email. We use a service provider acting as a processor to send emails.
5. Newsletter
For the newsletter we need your email address and your consent (Art. 6 (1) (a) GDPR). The subscription only becomes effective when you click the link in our confirmation email (double opt-in). As proof, we store the time and wording of your consent and the time of confirmation. You can optionally state your role and industry so that the content suits you.
Consent to the newsletter is independent of consent to being contacted. You can unsubscribe from the newsletter at any time, via the link in every issue or by emailing us.
6. Prototypes
Our prototypes contain only fictitious data. You receive access after the form via a personal link that is valid for 30 days. The prototype runs in an isolated environment without access to the data of this website.
7. Error logging
To detect and fix errors quickly, the website and server transmit technical information to an instance of the Sentry software that we operate ourselves when an error occurs: error message, affected page, browser and operating system, time and version of the website. No data is passed on to the maker of Sentry. The legal basis is our legitimate interest in stable operation (Art. 6 (1) (f) GDPR).
8. Storage period
- Requests where only the first step was completed: deleted after 90 days.
- Completed requests (prototype, documents, webinar, demo, contact, support): deleted 24 months after the last processing, unless statutory retention obligations apply or a business relationship has resulted from them.
- Newsletter: until you unsubscribe. We delete unconfirmed subscriptions after 90 days.
If you withdraw consent, we delete the data based on it unless another legal basis applies.
9. Recipients and third countries
Your data is received by the responsible employees in sales and support and by our processors for hosting and email delivery. There is no transfer to countries outside the EU or the EEA.
10. Your rights
- Access (Art. 15 GDPR), rectification (Art. 16), erasure (Art. 17), restriction of processing (Art. 18), data portability (Art. 20).
- Objection to processing based on legitimate interests (Art. 21 GDPR).
- Withdrawal of consent at any time with effect for the future (Art. 7 (3) GDPR).
- Complaint to a supervisory authority (Art. 77 GDPR), for example the State Commissioner for Data Protection of Lower Saxony, Prinzenstraße 5, 30159 Hannover, Germany.
There is no automated decision-making or profiling.
