From commissioning to maintenance: keeping the system in view

Why a system file with a history of readings is worth more than a folder per customer.

5 min read

Whether heat pump, heating or water treatment: a system often accompanies a business for many years. Knowing at every maintenance how it was set up and how the values have developed means finding problems earlier and explaining them better to the operator.

Commissioning based on readings

During commissioning, the technician enters the measured values on the tablet and SIMON calculates the setting. In the prototype this is shown with a water softener: raw water hardness and desired hardness give the blend. Settings follow the reading, not gut feeling.

Equipment file. Serial number and readings across all jobs.

One file per system

Every system has its file with serial number and the readings of all jobs. The trend shows whether something is gradually changing, long before it becomes a breakdown.

When a breakdown does happen

For a breakdown, a fault tree leads with a few questions to the likely cause, backed by similar cases. The manufacturer's knowledge is on site, even for systems the technician rarely sees. SIMON prepares warranty cases with serial number, photos and return of the old part.
