Appointment notices, cancellations, re-planning: field sales and service center working together
How appointments with pharmacies hold up, even when something changes at short notice.
4 min read
In pharmacy field sales, getting the appointment is already an achievement. Pharmacies ask for "mornings only", cancel at short notice or need a notice the day before. When field sales and the service center work past each other, visits end up missing from the route.
One calendar, two views
In SIMON, the service center sees each field rep's calendar, creates appointments, reschedules them with a reason and announces them by phone notice. Field sales see the same appointments in their route, with notice status: confirmed, open or cancelled.
When an appointment is cancelled
- The cancellation stays visible with its reason in the appointment history, so the service center knows next time
- Cancelled appointments stay struck through in the daily list instead of silently disappearing
- For scheduling conflicts, SIMON offers to reorder the route
- Customers nearby who are due appear as a hint, so the gap can be filled sensibly
Fewer phone calls
Field staff report delays with one tap in driving mode, and the service center can inform the pharmacy. The result is a shared status instead of a chain of calls.
